Living in a small country town there wasn't alot of places to get a nice meal. Some brothers would go to eat at a club that also had gambling so the Elders shut this practice down. Yet a Sister worked in the cigarette section {8 items or less lane} of a supermarket..this was Okay???

The principles are "Gambling is greedy and selfish, putting faith in the Goddess of good luck." This is lame! There is no scripture that says: "Thou shall not gamble." Most people don't believe in luck. As for greed and selfishness I'm going to work 10 days straight, so isn't this a disfellowshiping offence? The reasoning is pretty poor and is not based on the bible.

What happens to marriage partners in the 'New System'?

a short time after baptism a young man i knew commited fornication but told the elders he didn't know it was a sin, he didn't have full knowledge when baptized.
his baptizm was voided and he had to study and be baptized again at a later date.

It would be hard to convince three Elders that you are that dumb, this loop-hole won't work for everyone, but it does happen I know 2 people who were re-baptised and both were not the most intelligent Witnesses to begin with.

Witness Divorce= How do you "prove" to Elders you can re-marry?
by Witness 007 inwell if you divorce there's no re-marrying unless you can show your ex has commited adultery.
do they expect video footage, or pictures like the"cheaters" style t.v show.
do you need "2 witnesses" as the bible states.

A Witness friend of mine married a Witness girl whow was in the world...the Elders just took her "word on it" since her husband lives overseas and she hasn't seen him since. She "assumed" that as a worldly young man he would not remain single, so the Elders approved the marriage...wierd!

when dating a sister whom i later married, i read every publication on courtship the society had.
i then spoke to an elder whom i thought was "resonable" and we agreed as the publications say: "a couple can meet together in a public place, when courting, without a chaperon.

If after being reinstated he is still convinced he had not made a dedication to God, now that he has repented...he should be baptised." {again!}
Apparently many brothers were using this 58 Watchtower to dodge the disfellowship bullet! Yes some I know have been baptised twice!

Do you need "2 Witnesses" as the bible states. In most Congs. they take your word for it, there is no investigation made, even for ex-worldly people. What's your experience?

His baptizm was voided and he had to study and be baptized again at a later date. {Not disfellowshiped} Years later an older Sister shacked up with a brother after baptizm...not realizing they should be married first!! There is an article on this in the Idex under "Disfellowshiping" I will try to find it. Has anyone else had this happen?
